FlashFrench Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

FlashFrench is a French vocabulary app made by Alibri Apps. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. This page explains the small amount of data involved.

What stays on your phone

Your settings, progress, stats and Pro unlock are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. If you delete the app, they are deleted too. If you turn on Daily Reminders, FlashFrench schedules reminders on your phone only. Nothing is sent to us.

Feedback you choose to send

Settings has an optional feedback box. If you type a note and press Send, only that text is sent to us through Formspree, a form service that forwards it by email. No name, email address, device ID or account is attached. As with any web request, Formspree sees your IP address. We don't receive or use it. We use feedback only to fix and improve the app, and we delete it once it's dealt with. Please don't put personal details in the note.

Speaking your answers

The microphone is used only when you choose Speak to answer a card or turn on Auto Mic. Speech turns into text automatically while the microphone is listening. Your phone's own speech service does this. On iPhone this is Apple's speech recognition and on Android it is Google's. Depending on your phone and language, this may happen on the phone or online on Apple's or Google's servers, under Apple's privacy policy or Google's privacy policy. FlashFrench never records, keeps or sends your voice or the text. You can always type instead, and you can turn off microphone access in your phone's settings.

Voices

All the French and English voice recordings are built into the app. Nothing is downloaded.

Purchases

FlashFrench Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment. Offer codes are redeemed through Apple or Google too. We don't see your card, Apple ID or Google account details.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from children. FlashFrench itself only ever sends a feedback note that someone chooses to type and send. Speaking an answer uses the phone's own speech service, as explained above.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Send requests to alibriapps@gmail.com. Because feedback is anonymous, we can usually only find a note if you tell us roughly what it said and when you sent it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.

Contact

Email us at alibriapps@gmail.com, use the feedback box in the app, or contact us through the support link on the App Store or Google Play page.
